Practical guides on local SEO, content, and AI search — new post every week.
What this blog is about: this is where I share what actually works in local SEO — no theory, no recycled tips. Every guide comes from real client work: keyword research that found gaps, content structures that ranked, optimizations that moved businesses up in Google and Google Maps.
Who it's for: small business owners doing their own marketing, freelancers learning local SEO, and agencies looking for practical tactics. If you've ever wondered why a competitor outranks you — or how to get your content quoted in Google's AI Overviews — you'll find answers here.
What I cover: Google Business Profile optimization, getting more reviews, local citations and NAP consistency, service-area and city pages, featured snippets, voice search, and the new world of AI search — AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).
New post every week: I publish one in-depth guide every week. Each post is written to stand on its own — read them in any order, or start with the fundamentals and work your way forward.
Start here if you're new: the service-pages guide and the AI search posts are the highest-leverage reads for most small businesses — they cover the two things moving rankings fastest right now: local content structure and AI-era visibility.
What Generative Engine Optimization really means and the concrete steps that make AI quote your content.
The formatting patterns Google pulls into answer boxes — and how to structure your pages to steal them.
AEO is how content gets picked for Google AI Overviews. Here's how to structure articles that AI quotes.
The page anatomy behind local rankings — headings, FAQs, and local signals that move the needle.
Voice queries are longer and conversational. Here's how to shape content that voice assistants read aloud.
Four areas I write about — pick your starting point
Your GBP is the first thing customers see. Guides on optimization, categories, posts, photos, and review strategy — everything that moves you into the map pack. Plus how to earn more reviews and handle the bad ones without panic.
Keywords, citations, NAP consistency, service pages — the unglamorous basics that decide whether local customers find you or your competitor. Boring? Maybe. But these fundamentals win the calls.
Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT citations, featured snippets. How to structure content so AI systems quote you instead of someone else — written from real testing and Search Console data, not theory.
Service pages, blogs, and location pages — the anatomy of content that earns traffic month after month, with real examples from client work. Steal the structures for your own site.
Each guide stands alone — start anywhere. New posts are announced on X (@Samar_ameer01) every week, so follow along and never miss one.
How I choose topics: every guide starts from a real question — something a client asked, something I spotted in Search Console data, or something changing in search that small businesses need to understand. If enough people ask it, it becomes a post. That's the whole editorial policy: no filler, no fluff — if a topic can't help a real business, it doesn't get published.
